Greetings Rock Fans!
6ix 5ive 9ine has added 2 dates to this summer’s gig lineup.
1st off is a benefit event for Danielle Lewis from Lowell. She has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and her friends, family and community have organized a benefit event. All the proceeds will go to help offset the costs of her medical treatment. Tickets will be available at the door. Follow this link for more information about Danielle. See flyer image for event details.
6ix 5ive 9ine and one other band will be playing the event. We will update with the performance times and other details as they become available to us.
Also added to the Summertime Schedule is a return to Michigan City to rock the house at Knuckleheads! We’ll be jamming there on Friday August 21st from 9pm to 1am. Can’t wait to see you all there! Rock on!
6ix 5ive 9ine is heading east again to rock out with the crowd at Knuckleheads in Michigan City. This is one of our favorite places to play. Great room; great crowd; great beer! If you’ve never been, don’t miss this opportunity to jam out with us on Friday May 1st. We’ll be starting the action at 9pm and rockin’ hard until the wee hours of Saturday morning!
Hey Rockers! 6ix 5ive 9ine will be searing the air at Buddy n’ Pals in Schererville on Friday March 27th. We have a triple bill lined up for you: Solo artist Terry Brandush will be opening things up with a half hour acoustic set at 9:30pm, then 6ix 5ive 9ine lights up the stage for a set, and to top off a perfect night of rock, legendary Chicago Scorpions tribute band Lovedrive rocks you like a Hurricane into the wee hours!
Don’t miss three great acts in one killer night! Rock on and see you there!
This February 20th, 6ix 5ive 9ine takes a short jaunt down I94 to jam at KnuckleHeads! We love playing this place. Great crowd, good beer, awesome band, good beer, excellent service, and did we mention good beer? ==>
Come out thirsty for drinks and thirsty for some ass-kickin’ rock n’ roll!

We’re playing 9pm to 1am this upcoming BLACK FRIDAY (November 28th for the retail challenged) at Knuckleheads in Michigan City. Regardless of whether you spend your Black Friday standing in lines trying to get some sweet deals, or if you spend it on the couch laughing at those that stood in lines, the correct way to spend that evening is to come out to Michigan City and party with your favorite region rock band 6ix 5ive 9ine!

Congrats to our newlyweds Tim and Jessica for tying the knot and then rockin’ the house!
We had a blast performing for the Ladies Rock Night on Friday at Buddy n Pal’s in Schererville. Thanks Starr and Lou for organizing such a cool event for such a great cause, and thanks to everyone who came out early to share in the pre-game wedding ceremony.
Two years ago, the band 6ix 5ive 9ine didn’t have a vocalist. We didn’t even have the name 6ix 5ive 9ine. We had 3 friends who had been jamming in a garage for a very long time, and we were in need of some catalyst to launch us forward into success.
Two years ago, Dave called Tim on the way to practice and said “I’m bringing new equipment to practice tonight.” as he so frequently did. (When you’re a musician, there can never be enough guitars / amplifiers / microphones / pedals / etc…) Little did Tim know that when the garage door rolled up, and the new equipment that Dave had mentioned turned out to be an extraordinarily talented vocalist named Jessica, that he was actually staring (jaw agape) at his future wife.
Fast forward 2 years: 6ix 5ive 9ine has not only found the catalyst that it took to bring us out of the garage and onto the stage at venues all around the region, but Tim and Jessica have found so much more than that in each other!
So congratulations to Tim and Jess! We all wish you two a lifetime of happiness! And to all you out there in rock ‘n roll land: Come out and see the newlyweds kick some ass Live at Knuckleheads in Michigan City on November 28th. (That’s Black Friday for the calendar challenged.) See you there and ROCK ON!
Hey Rock Fans! It’s the middle of our favorite month, ROCKTOBER! There’s lots of reasons to celebrate this month, and here’s just a few:
23 years ago this month, our guitarist, Dave decided he wanted to learn how to play guitar. He bought his first guitar as a birthday present to himself, and figured out how to play “Happy Birthday to Me” on one string. (Please don’t tell Warner Music!)
As of this month, it has been 2 years since 6ix 5ive 9ine formed and settled on a name.
We never knew how many ways three numbers could be misinterpreted until we named our band.
No, we are not named after an embedded generator regulation.
Get ready for some heavy rock covers this Saturday at Sportsman’s Inn in South Haven when 6ix 5ive 9ine opens up for Orchestrated Chaos! Show starts at 10pm, and we’re breaking out all the hard and heavy tunes to set the mood before Orchestrated Chaos takes over and blows the doors off the place! These guys kick things up a notch into the realm of Godsmack, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, etc… If you like hard rock, this is a show you won’t want to miss!
